ユニットシェルフのアタッチメント / Attachment for a Shelving System
無印良品のスチールユニットシェルフに取り付けられる棚板のアタッチメント。
内藤家のダイニングテーブルの周りにL字に配置された２つのユニットシェルフが、床から45cmの高さでひとつながりの家具になっています。
棚板パーツの小口をユニットシェルフより手前に出すことで全体が一体となって見えるようにしています。
また、ユニットシェルフの帆立とクロスバーがそれぞれ通り抜けられるスリットを開け、ユニットシェルフが棚板パーツを貫通して上に出てこられるようにしています。
ユニットシェルフも含め、全て分解して再構成可能なので、レイアウトを変えたり、引越しに対応したりすることもできます。
部屋をぐるっと囲むように伸びる板は、他の家具や、板の上に飛び出すユニットシェルフとの関係に応じて、鞄置き、ベンチ、テレビ台などの役割を担いながら、それらを滑らかに繋いでいます。

Two shelves arranged in an L-shape around the dining table are connected at a height of 45 cm from the floor to form a single piece of furniture.
The edge of the attachment board is brought forward from the shelf to make the whole look integrated, and slits are made which the legs and braces of shelves can each pass through, allowing shelves to come through the attachment plank and out them.
Everything, including the shelving system, can be dismantled and reassembled to change the layout or move.
The board that extend around the room smoothly connects living activities, taking on the role of a bag rest, bench or screen stand, depending on their relationship to the other furniture and shelves that come above the board.
