⾃然とつながる建築をめざして 川島範久展
東京・南青山のプリズミックギャラリーにて開催された「⾃然とつながる建築をめざして 川島範久展」の展示台を設計、製作しました。
製作期間が短かったため、切りっぱなしの合板や角材に穴あけ加工のみを施し、火打ち金物や羽子板ボルトといった安価な建築金物を使って部材同士を接合するという製作方法を取りました。
解体すれば合板・角材・金物のそれぞれをコンパクトにまとめられるため、展示終了後は簡単に他の場所に運搬して再利用することができます。
桧合板、火打ち金物の亜鉛メッキ、羽子板ボルトのクロメートといった材料本来のテクスチャが、模型や自然素材のサンプルを多く用いて自然と建築の連関を表現する展示のコンセプトと調和しています。

Towards an Architecture with Nature – Nori Kawashima
We designed and produced display stands for the exhibition “Towards an Architecture with Nature” at Prismic Gallery in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo.
Due to the short production period, we decided to make it by only drilling holes in the cut plywood and square timbers, and joining them together by inexpensive hardware for buildings.
The plywood, square timbers, and hardware can all be compactly disassembled, so they can be easily transported to another location for reuse after the exhibition is over.
The textures of the materials, such as the cypress plywood, the galvanization and the chromate of the hardware are in harmony with the exhibition concept, which expresses the relationship between nature and architecture through the use of models and many samples of natural materials.
